Orikai - Woven Whispers of Childhood

A bridge that connects the love of a parent and child.
A feeling of nostalgia the moment it is worn.
A keepsake for future generations.
A gift from our entire heart to yours.

Every family carries a legacy — in language, arts, literature, customs, rituals, ethics, intellect, profession, or wealth. For us, it is very simple. We inherited the rhythms of business conversations, entrepreneurial hustle, strong work ethics, philanthropy, community ties, shared experiences, and a deep sense of belonging. These values have been passed down through generations, and today, they form the foundation of Orikai.

We come from a Jain Gujarati family, where business is not just an occupation but a way of life. Our great-grandfather and grandfather, Mr. Prabhulal Mehta, were deeply rooted in textile trading. As children, words like Century, Finlay, Arvind, Poplin, Muslin, Madarpat, and Khadi echoed through our home. The cadence of textiles was woven into our upbringing, while their journey from a small village to Ahmedabad instilled in us the importance of courage, resilience, and vision. After the passing of my grandfather, I found that role and guidance in Mr. Pravinbhai Mehta, who has been like a grandfather figure to me. He is my guiding force, mentor, and biggest cheerleader. In moments when I cannot share my thoughts with others, he is the one I turn to. His presence reminds me that our legacy is not just about business, but about the values, relationships, and love that hold us together.

Our father, Mr. Shrikesh Mehta, chose a new path, building his own business in diamonds and real estate at a very young age. His long days, restless nights, and relentless determination taught us that success is earned through consistency and perseverance. His guiding rule is to keep ethics at the core, and embrace innovation with the right intent is what continues to inspire us.

Co-Founder of Orikai

Studied Finance and Economics at The George Washington University and Boston University in the United States. Numbers have always fascinated me — from stock markets and finance clubs to internships and professional experiences. Yet, beyond the numbers, I’ve always felt a deep entrepreneurial calling. With Orikai, I hope to blend that analytical discipline with creativity and emotion — to craft clothing that nurtures confidence, ambition, and self-expression in every child. Each piece we design is a reflection of timeless memories and meaningful connections — garments that children will cherish and remember as part of their growing-up years.

strong foundation in finance but an even stronger pull toward creativity. Storytelling through design is where I find my true voice. At just 19, I bring youthful energy, curiosity, and a desire to blend tradition with modern sensibilities. For me, Orikai is not just a brand — it’s a narrative woven from our family’s legacy, love, and artistry. Every design we create tells a story — of heritage, craftsmanship, and the tender moments that define childhood.

Our vision is to make fashion-forward clothing accessible to every child, without compromise — combining timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and comfort that keeps up with their every move.
